Meet Simisola, AKA Simi, the 6-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria who took her passion for baking and made it into a successful business. After learning how to bake from her aunt at only 3-years-old, Simi decided to start her own business selling her baked goods. WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN?
I play the piano, swim, and love cheerleading, dancing, and reading. I also enjoy baking and helping my toys that don’t feel well get better.

I bake yummy cookies and give a portion of the profits to charities for children.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS IDEA?
My aunty taught me to bake when I was 3 and my mum asked me when I turned 5 if I wanted to start a business selling my cookies.
WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED SO FAR AND HOW HAVE YOU OVERCOME THEM?
I've struggled with how to handle orders when I am in school. Now, I have someone to bake when I can't.

I won Best Creative Kid Entrepreneur Award at the Bella Africana Ace Awards in April.

I would like some training so I can become a better baker and also learn more about running a business.
